Community Listening Session
May 10 @ 2:00 pm - 2:30 pm
Over the past year, St. John’s Lutheran Church in North Prairie has been prayerfully considering a clear definition of why we exist and how we serve. At our core, we believe our mission is to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ in word and deed. As part of this ongoing reflection, we’ve been evaluating all that we do—both within our church walls and beyond—to see how our efforts align with our purpose. Some of our ministries have a direct and visible impact on our community, while others are more inward-focused. As we move forward, we are seeking to become more intentional about understanding and responding to the real needs of North Prairie and the surrounding area. We want to be good neighbors—not just in name, but in meaningful action.
That’s why we are inviting you, as a valued leader in our community—whether in civic life, education, business, or another area—to join us for one of our upcoming
Community Listening Sessions. These gatherings will give us a chance to hear directly from you and others about the strengths, challenges, and opportunities within
our community. We’ll be hosting three sessions at the Prairie View Elementary:
– Friday, May 10 | 2:00–3:30 PM
– Tuesday, May 14 | 6:00–7:30 PM
– Sunday, May 19 | 6:00–7:30 PM
Each session will be informal and focused around three simple but meaningful questions:
1. What do you appreciate about living in this community?
2. What challenges do you see our community facing?
3. Who is currently working to address these challenges?
Your insights will help us better understand where we can walk alongside others and offer support in ways that truly matter. We are not looking to duplicate efforts but rather to listen, learn, and partner for the good of North Prairie. Please register on the form below.
