At St. John’s Lutheran Church, our childcare ministry is dedicated to connecting children to Christ through compassionate, Christ-centered care. Serving the North Prairie community for over 34 years, we provide quality care and education that nurtures each child’s spiritual, emotional, and academic growth.

Our mission is encapsulated in the statement, “St. John’s in North Prairie embraces our community to connect with Jesus.” This guiding principle is at the heart of everything we do, as we work together as One God, One Voice, One Mission, One Church to serve the youngest members of our community with love and dedication.
Comprehensive Childcare Programs
Our childcare ministry includes two distinct programs designed to meet the needs of families in our community. Students do not have to be religious to attend St. John’s Lutheran Preschool. We have families from all different religious beliefs and some who are not religious at all that attend St. John’s Lutheran Preschool. However, we are faith-based, and the basic Bible stories are taught to the students.
Wrap around care is available to all students in preschool who meet the 3K requirements. The daycare is open from 7-9am and 3-5pm.
Preschool Program: We offer 3K and 4K classes with both full-day and half-day options. For parents who need extended care, we provide wrap-around care in our daycare area, ensuring that your child is supported throughout the day in a loving, faith-based environment.
Daycare Program: Our daycare services include before and after school care during the academic year and full-day care during the summer months. This program is designed to offer a safe, enriching space where children can grow and thrive under the guidance of our dedicated staff.
